‘Life’ is the new single from Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist, composer and artist Tomin. He describes the track as “a celebratory cruise through the city… My ode to black women and all the joy and wonder they have brought to my life.” It’s a driving cut that feels fresh and rejuvenating, with interesting rhythms and chord progressions merging complexity with enticing simplicity. The solos from Teiana Davis on Wurlitzer and Clérida Eltimé on cello are the icing on the cake. Tomin is releasing his first album as the leader of a large ensemble, A Willed and Conscious Balance, on November 1st, 2024, via International Anthem. -Dan Peeke
